Professor : You are a Christian, aren't you, son ?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?

Student : Absolutely, sir.

Professor : Is GOD good ?

Student : Sure.

professor: Is GOD all powerful ?

Student : Yes.

Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn't. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

(Student was silent.)

Professor: You can't answer, can you ? Let's start again, young fella. Is GOD good?

Student : Yes.

Professor: Is satan good ?

Student : No.

Professor: Where does satan come from ?

Student : From . . . GOD . . .

Professor: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?

Student : Yes.

Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn't it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?

Student : Yes.

Professor: So who created evil ?

(Student did not answer.)

Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, who created them ?

(Student had no answer.)

Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?

Student : No, sir.

Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?

Student : No , sir.

Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?

Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.

Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?

Student : Yes.

Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.

Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has.

Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Professor: Yes.

Student : And is there such a thing as cold?

Professor: Yes.

Student : No, sir. There isn't.

(The lecture theatre became very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?

Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?

Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it is, were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?

Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man ?

Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.

Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.)

Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class was in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?

(The class broke out into laughter. )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Professor: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.

Student : That is it sir . . . Exactly ! The link between man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that keeps things alive and moving.

Bila aku jadi Pandu Puteri Siswi...

Pada dua minggu lepas, saya menghadiri satu kem dianjurkan oleh salah satu subjek semester ini iaitu Pandu Puteri Siswi II.  Kem tersebut diadakan selama tiga hari dua malam bertempat di Rumah Pandu, Selangor.  On the 11th within a Kunming Panlong District neighborhood, the four kittens of an adopted stray cat were abused to death. According to the family that adopted the stray cat, on the morning of the 11th when they heard the cat’s tragic cries, they rushed downstairs to discover this stray cat’s four kittens abused to death, and even placed in front of the mother cat. The kittens’ bodies were covered with bullet holes, with blood all over. One of the kittens had its neck tied with a rope and elongated, its chest cut open, heart exposed, while the other three kittens’ heads were stepped on. According to this journalist’s observation, the bullet holes on the kitten’s bodies were caused by a metal toy gun. It is reckoned that during the night of the 10th, someone used a toy gun to beat the kitten black and blue, so that it was unable to escape, before continuing to abuse/mutilate it to death, and intentionally put them beside the mother cat.

The poor mother cat kept licking the kittens, hoping it would revive the kittens. Crying, the women who adopted the cat were unable to speak, hoping that the cat abuser can be found.

Migrain ialah satu keadaan di mana sakit kepala terjadi disebabkan oleh aliran darah dan perubahan kimia diotak. Perubahan ini akan menyebabkan arteri yang membekalkan darah ke otak tersekat dan menimbulkan sakit kepala diikuti oleh rasa tidak selesa pada perut, loya dan pening.Ia juga kadangkala menimbulkan kesan pada pandangan dan menimbulkan satu fenomena pada pemandangan yang dipanggil aura.Ia adalah satu keadaan neurologikal yang biasa dialami oleh penduduk negara maju dan membangun. Ia biasa menyerang pada peringkat usia selepas baligh.Migrain ialah sejenis penyakit keturunan dan mempunyai kecenderungan untuk berulang. Wanita mempunyai kecenderungan mengidap migrain yang lebih tinggi berbanding lelaki (75%), kebiasaan sebelum haid dan selepas menopaus.

Adakah anda pengidap migrain? Jika anda mempunyai dua dari simptom-simptom dibawah , bermakna anda juga tergolong dalam golongan domina yang mengidap migrain.Biasakah anda mengalami gejala gangguan saraf seperti gangguan pada pandangan seperti titik buta dan melihat motif seperti zig zag sebelum mengalami sakit kepala?Atau anda seperti melihat sinar cahaya yang amat terang hingga terasa seperti hampir buta dan sesekali melihat objek di hadapan anda mempunyai aura disekelingnya? selalunya gejala ini akan berlaku selama 15 hingga 20 minit dan diikuti oleh sakit kepala yang teruk. Adakah anda biasa mengalami sakit kepala yang teruk dan berdenyut-denyut disebelah atau satu bahagian kepala sahaja? Atau anda biasa mengalami diikuti oleh muntah atau cirit-birit? Biasakah anda merasa amat sensitif dan takut pada cahaya yang terang(fotofobia), merasa amat sensitif pada bunyi(fonofobia) dan merasa amat sensitif pada bau (osmofobia)? Jika anda memang mengalami dua dari gejala diatas bermakna anda berkemungkinan mengalami migrain. Walaubagaimanapun anda perlu mendapatkan nasihat doktor terlebih dahulu sebelum membuat sebarang keputusan atau kesimpulan.

Walaupun begitu sukar untuk menemui penawar yang benar-benar boleh mengubati migrain , keadaan masih boleh dikawal. ubat-ubat dan penawar migrain selalunya membantu pesakit untuk mengurangkan kesakitan dan gejala yang dialami ketika diserang migrain.

   A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn’t afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe ...from harm and danger.
  When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he was waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God’s protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely.
  The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed.
  The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, “Because she wasn’t alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her.” Amazingly, whether you believe or not, you’re never alone. Did you know that 98% of teenagers will not stand up for God? .PS: God is always there in your heart and loves you no matter what and if you stand up for him he will stand up for you. After a long break not posting anything to my blog, something came up to my mind with the great idea. Reading a post on FB make me feel worried but I tell myself to grab OBD and read it.

Yes, this is it. The answer for my question for all this time. Here is His lesson to me today.

Acts 17:11 They received the Word with all readiness, and searched the Scripture daily to find out whether these things were so.

In Acts 17:11, tell us that Bereans didn't simply believe what someone else telling them. 

They also verified it on their own, on a daily basis. That's important for us to consider as well. Whether we receive our Bible teaching through church, Sunday school, radio or TV, we need to test what we hear against God's inspired Word. 

We are "Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

If we do this we won't become prey to those who teach "a different gospel" and those who 'want to pervert the gospel of Christ. (Gal 1:6-7)

False teacher who comes as wolves in sheep's clothing. (Matt 7:15)

Trust but verify. Attending the Sunday mass at my hometown sometimes make me think and questioning myself. Is this true? Which one is right? Why does he say like that? I learn this different before?

All the answer for my question is The Holy Bible. Its in His Word. Just verify it.

Yes, God answered my question just right on the time.  His Word teach us, fix us, remind us and keep us in the right track. To walk as His child is not an easy task to be done, but with His love all things will be just fine.

Actually, this muffins is not mine, and i found it on my kitchen table last three month.
It was on the table, unwrapped!!! 
But few days ago when am doing house cleaning, i met which this "fellow" again. 
OMG!!! OMG!! yet still  this fellow look like when i met "him" for the first time.
No "wrinkles", no "pimples", no adding here and there, just like we 1st met...no change at all.
For the rest...let you think about it..heheh.

Jika disuruh memilih antara mengampuni atau membalas kejahatan seseorang, ramai orang memilih melakukan pembalasan terhadap kejahatan yang dilakukan orang lain. Jika ini dilakukan oleh orang zaman sekarang, kita maklum. Namun bagi orang Kristen mengampuni adalah sebuah kewajipan bukan pilihan.

Mengapa demikian? Sesungguhnya oleh karana pengampunan Tuhan bagi kitalah yang memungkinkan kita dapat mengampuni orang lain. Tertulis demikian: “...dia tertikam oleh karena pemberontakan kita, dia diremukkan oleh karena kejahatan kita; ganjaran yang mendatangkan keselamatan bagi kita ditimpakan kepadanya,.. . Tuhan telah menimpakan kepadanya kejahatan kita sekalian.” (Yesaya 53:5-6). Hukuman dosa yang seharusnya kita tanggung telah dibayar penuh oleh Yesus Kristus di kayu salib. Murka Allah ditimpakan kepadaNya, Dialah yang menggantikan tempat kita. Darah Yesus membasuh dan menyucikan kita dari dosa.

Ketika ada kesalahan atau kejahatan dilakukan oleh pihak lain, kitalah yang harus berinisiatif terlebih dahulu untuk mengampuni mereka. Sebagaimana Allah di dalam Kristus Yesus telah mengampuni kita, hendaklah kita juga punya hati yang mau mengampuni kesalahan orang lain. “Segala kepahitan, kegeraman, kemarahan, pertikaian dan fitnah hendaklah dibuang dari antara kamu, demikian pula segala kejahatan. Tetapi hendaklah kamu ramah seorang terhadap yang lain, penuh kasih mesra dan saling mengampuni,” (Efesus 4:31-32a). Bagaimana kita boleh melakukannya? Pertama, kita harus memusatkan fikiran kita sepenuhnya kepada pengampunan yang telah Tuhan berikan bagi kita. Renungkan betapa besar rahmat yang sudah dilimpahkan Tuhan kepada kita seperti kata Daud, “Pujilah Tuhan, hai jiwaku, dan janganlah lupakan segala kebaikanNya! Dia yang mengampuni segala kesalahanmu,” (Mazmur 103:2-3a). Kedua, selesaikan dengan jujur semua kemarahan yang kita rasakan terhadap orang lain, lalu melupakannya. Memang tidak mudah! Namun Tuhan akan menolong.

Mengampuni tanpa melupakan itu seumpama kasih yang bersyarat, namanya bukan pengampunan !

Karakteristik Wanita Bijak

Shalom...Shalom..kita bertemu lagi...

Huhu..lama dah tak update blog, kesibukan melanda, apakan dayaku..haishh Tak penting tu…. Its ok..nanti warp up everything...hehe kunun la. Sebenarnya, post kali ini hanya untuk berkongsi bahan sharing mini komsel malam tadi (9pm, 29th March 2011).

Di Kem Wanita Bijak Single 2010, banyak perkara yang saya telah belajar. 

Wanita Bijak adalah Murid Kristus, dan Mitra Pria.

Antara pelajaran sepanjang kem tersebut ialah karekteristik Wanita Bijak. Bahan sharing kali ini diilhamkan oleh Ginna Nastasie Lie. Sharing yang ringkas dan sangat memberkati.

Berikut adalah karakteristik dari wanita bijak:

1. Mencintai firman Tuhan

“Kata Maria: "Sesungguhnya aku ini adalah hamba Tuhan; jadilah padaku menurut perkataanmu itu." Lalu malaikat itu meninggalkan dia.” (Lukas 1:38)

Contohnya: Maria ibu Yesus dan juga Maria saudara Lazarus (Lukas 10:38-42).

2. Suka berdoa

“Bagi Dialah, yang dapat melakukan jauh lebih banyak dari pada yang kita doakan atau pikirkan, seperti yang ternyata dari kuasa yang bekerja di dalam kita” (Efesus 3:20)

Contohnya: Ratu Ester dan Hanna

3. Beriman

“Sebab aku teringat akan imanmu yang tulus ikhlas, yaitu iman yang pertama-tama hidup di dalam nenekmu Lois dan di dalam ibumu Eunike dan yang aku yakin hidup juga di dalam dirimu.” (2 Timotius 1:5)

Contohnya: Eunike dan Lois

4. Bertanggung Jawab

Ukuran kedewasaan seseorang itu dinilai dari tanggung jawab yang diambil nya.

Apakah penghalang-penghalang untuk menjadi wanita yang bijak?

1. Tidak mengetahui identitas sebagai wanita dihadapan Tuhan

“Demikian juga kamu, hai suami-suami, hiduplah bijaksana dengan isterimu, sebagai kaum yang lebih lemah! Hormatilah mereka sebagai teman pewaris dari kasih karunia, yaitu kehidupan, supaya doamu jangan terhalang.” (1 Petrus 3:7)

Jika seorang wanita tidak mengetahui identitasnya di hadapan Tuhan maka ia cenderung akan menjadi rencah diri (minder), suka membandingkan diri dengan orang lain, menghakimi orang lain yang mempunyai kelebihan, dan juga tidak memiliki kepercayaan diri.

2. Berpusat pada hal-hal lahiriah

Wanita yang berpusat pada hal-hal lahiriah adalah mereka yang mempunyai perhatian yang berlebihan terhadap penampilan luar. Mereka sangat bergantung pada barang-barang yang bermerek dan gagal mengembangkan kecantikan batiniah. Selain dari pada itu, wanita yang seperti ini suka berbicara untuk menarik perhatian orang lain.

3. Hidup dalam kesia-siaan

Tanda dari pada wanita yang hidup di dalam kesia-siaan adalah mereka cenderung tidak puas dengan apapun juga, suka gosip dan suka mengasihani diri sendiri.

Aku sedar siapa aku

Ya, aku sedar siapa diriku..
.tapi aku bersyukur kepada-Nya..
aku sentiasa diberkati dengan kasih sayang-Nya.
.setiap masa dan di mana jua.. 

Di sini aku tidak sunyi dan bersendiri..
aku sentiasa ditemani rakan duniawi..
mereka kekuatanku dikala dugaan menimpa..
janganlah dirisau tentang diriku ini.
dua puluh satu tahun sudah umurku..

Biarpun muda dikata..
tapi diriku tak semuda yang disangka.
aku telah melalui pelbagai cerita..
aku telah melalui pelbagai drama..
aku telah melalui pelbagai irama.. 

Ya, aku sedar siapa aku, 
tapi jangan dipandang rendah diriku.
aku juga bisa berjaya..
dengan mereka yang selalu disisiku..
keluargaku, temanku, dan Tuhanku.. 
Aku bersyukur kepada-Nya..
aku diciptakan melalui kisah ini.
.aku yakin aku direncanakan suatu yang besar..
aku diciptakan bukan untuk menderita dan bahagia selamanya..
apakah erti bahagia?...
apakah erti derita? .
tapi itulah nikmat hidup di dunia..
ya aku sedar siapa aku...
